„Stars go Swing!“ with Nina Hagen
On 23rd October 2004, two very different worlds came together: Nina Hagen and the Capital Dance Orchestra took over the stage in the gracious old-world building on Berlin’s beautiful Gendarmenmarkt. Unique, original and with her very individual charisma, the divine Nina Hagen presented her interpretation of swing from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, accompanied by the Capital Dance Orchestra.
The elegant Konzerthaus was full of fans – both of swing itself and of Nina Hagen. And all of them went home happy. In a production created and directed by Arthur Castro (of Pomp Duck & Circumstance fame), Nina Hagen could show all the facets of her extravagant show talent. With songs like “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, “Der Wind hat mir ein Lied erzählt”, and many more, the Capital Dance Orchestra and Nina spirited their enthusiastic audience away on a journey to “back then” - the legendary era of swing. Master of ceremonies for the evening was the very charming Nigel David Casey.
A real Highlight! Nina Hagen’s new CD with the
